Missing Victorville Mother Found Dead, Children’s Father Remains Missing

VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A missing mother was found deceased in close proximity to her home, while her boyfriend, the children’s father remains missing.

Authorities said that Oscar Mendoza, 30, and Devin Capitulo, 30, both of Victorville, were involved parents and both employed full time when they went missing late last month. The couple was reported missing by concerned family members after Mendoza left their children at the home of a family member on Saturday, May 30, 2020. When they did not return, they were reported missing on Monday, June 1, 2020. Homicide detectives were involved in the search for the missing couple and assumed the investigation on June 11th.

On Tuesday, June 16th, a search was conducted in the 15200 block of Rancho Road just north of where the couple lived. A dog alerted the search crew to human remains which were later learned to belong to Davin Capitulo. The cause and manner of death are pending the autopsy. Mendoza remains missing.
