VICTORVILLE – Already serving multiple Inland Empire cities throughout the week the Mobile Fresh, grocery store on wheels will now be providing services to those in the City of Victorville.
The store on wheels is a large bus, formerly a Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) city bus donated by RTA, that is filled with quality produce in order to promote and provide easier access to quality produce. The Mobile Fresh bus currently impacts nearly 25,000 families in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Ran by the Family Service Association (FSA), who provide a multitude of services to all ages including children and seniors (and all in between), many of their clients who are receiving other services also benefit from their store on wheels.
The store prides itself on offering Farmer Market produce with the convenience of a corner store. Mobile Fresh provides these services in areas where there are fewer supermarkets and residents with less accessibility to transportation. Aimed to help especially those with limited and low incomes, prices are 20-30% below the prices that are offered in markets and the store accepts all forms of payment, including EBT.
This Mobile Fresh bus will be in the City of Victorville on Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. at Burning Bush Baptist Church, located at 14849 Seventh Street and from 2 to 3 p.m. at Sixth Street Prep School, located at 15467 Sixth Street. For more information about the Mobile Fresh bus or other FSA services provided, call (951) 686-1096. https://www.fsaca.org/what/mobile-fresh/
