LOS ANGELES – A 41-year-old Monrovia man was arraigned on Friday for kidnapping and sexual assault charges stemming from a 2012 and 2016 sexual assault.
Jason Chung Chien Yu allegedly lured the women ranging in age from 22 to 60-years-old in by offering them money and drugs in exchange for sex. In February 2012, Yu was accused of kidnapping a woman to commit rape. In April 2016, Yu allegedly beat and sodomized a victim. A second woman was allegedly sodomized and assaulted the same month. Yu now faces charges of with two counts each of sodomy by use of force, assault to commit rape and false imprisonment, and one count each of kidnapping to commit rape, forcible oral copulation, and criminal threats.
If convicted as charged, Yu who pleaded not guilty to all charges may face up to life in prison.
