VICTORVILLE – Highway 395 was closed in both directions on Friday night due to a fatal traffic collision. The collision occurred just before 11:20 p.m. in the area north of Palmdale Road near the northmost exit from the Crossroads at 395 shopping center.
The collision involved a male motorcyclist who died at the scene despite life-saving efforts made by paramedics. The motorcyclist was described only as a Black man.
Sheriff’s officials were not immediately available to provide additional information. No other vehicles were seen in the immediate area of the collision. The road will remain closed from Palmdale Road to Seneca Road for a Major Accident Investigation Team – M.A.I.T. investigation.
UPDATE: (9-2-17) – Through investigation, it was learned that the rider of the 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling northbound on CA-395 when for unknown reasons he lost control. The motorcyclist, whose name is yet to be released suffered traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was reopened on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at around 6:20 a.m.
