HESPERIA – The motorcyclist killed as a result of a hit and run collision in the City of Hesperia on Wednesday has been identified.
Jerry Romero, 29, of Apple Valley, was on the way home to his family, when an unidentified driver quickly pulled out of a business parking lot into his path. Romero was unable to stop on time and crashed into the white SUV. He was ejected as a result of the crash and was fatally injured. The driver of the SUV fled from the scene and was not located during an area search.
Romero leaves behind a family who loves him very much, including a son and an 8-month pregnant girlfriend. The case remains under investigation. A Go Fund Me Account has been set up in order to assist his family with any expenses resulting from his unexpected death.
