MURRIETA, Calif. – A Murrieta man was arrested for the murder of a female family member authorities said.
On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at around 11:00 a.m. police responded to the 23000 block of Abury Avenue for the report of a family disturbance. The reporting party left the home to call the police to report that the male suspect was being aggressive toward members of his family. When they arrived, they made contact with the male suspect, later identified as Jacob Lepe. Lepe was standing over a female on the side of the home, covered in what looked like blood.
Police aid that Lepe did not comply with officer commands, which caused police to use a taser on him. Officers took him into custody and booked him into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for murder. The woman was determined to be deceased at the scene.
The Murrieta Police Department Detective Bureau responded and assumed the investigation. The follow up investigation revealed Lepe was responsible for the death of the female. The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact
