MUSCOY, Calif. – Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify a male suspect who stabbed and killed a Muscoy man.
At around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, deputies responded to the 1900 block of W. Mesa Street in Muscoy for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived the found Jonathan Bustos, 22, suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Homicide Detectives responded to the scene to assume the investigation. Through investigation they learned that Bustos lived on W. Mesa Street where there was a party at a neighboring home. At some point and for unknown reasons, Bustos was involved in a verbal dispute. Bustos’ family also became involved in a fight. Bustos was stabbed in the chest by an unknown Hispanic man. The suspect fled in a white sedan authorities sadan.
