MUSCOY, Calif. – One person is deceased and three others were rushed to the hospital after a traffic collision in Muscoy.
On Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at around 5:00 p.m., San Bernardino County Fire Department and Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 3300 block of Duffy Street for the initial report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.
When they arrived they found two badly damaged vehicles including a white Honda 4-door sedan and a silver Kia 4-door hatchback. At least one person who was ejected from a vehicle and two others sustained life-threatening injuries. One of the injured died as a result of the collision per CHP incident logs.
The fourth sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the collision. All were transported to a trauma center for treatment of their injuries. A witness said that one of the vehicles, it is unclear which one, ran the stop sign sending the Kia into a pole/
It is still unclear if any of those injured were pedestrians or if all of them were in the vehicles at the time of the collision. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, information will be updated as it is received.
