ADELANTO – City of Adelanto residents have one more thing to be thankful for with the preparation for a new Arco gas station. So far, only scrubbing and saturating for dust control has begun at the site at the southeast corner of Air Expressway and Highway 395. The gas station will include a convenience store and a fast food restaurant.
With all the recent development and plans for development in the past several years, the newly elected officials will have a tough act to follow. “The plans this Council put in place over the last few years to stimulate economic development are continuing to yield results,” said Mayor Richard Kerr. “It’s like an early Thanksgiving because soon our residents and travelers along Highway 395 will have another option to fuel the vehicle or stop for a meal,” Kerr added.
Although residents eagerly await the new development and the identity of the new fast-food restaurant, there is no start date for the construction just yet. Puebla Construction Inc. will begin the grading for the site this week. The grading will be prepared for the 6,200 square foot building. “This project is another in a stream of projects that will generate point-of-sales tax revenues for our City and jobs for our residents,” said Jessie Flores, City Manager.
