IRVING, TX. – A newborn baby was found dead inside of a trash can at an Irving, Texas Applebee’s Restaurant on Friday, officials said.
At around 4:47 p.m. Irving Police responded to the report of the unconscious baby located at the restaurant located at 1901 N. Belt Line Road. When they arrived they found the deceased newborn inside a restroom trash can. Authorities said that the child was born inside the bathroom and was placed in the trash can. It is unknown at this time if the child was alive at the time of birth and the sex of the baby has not been released at this time.
The mother apparently left the location shortly after giving birth and placing the newborn inside the trash can. It is believed that the employees found the deceased newborn around 30 minutes after while cleaning the restroom.
