Oak Hills House Party Shooting Kills Young Victorville Man

OAK HILLS – A 19-year-old man is dead and authorities are seeking information that may lead to the identity and/or whereabouts of the suspect(s) responsible.

On Friday night there was an advertised party in the 7700 block of Foley Road in Oak Hills. Over 100 guests attended, one by the name of Kyle McConnell, 19, of Victorville. At around midnight, there was an altercation involving several of the guests, which led to a shooting.

At around 12:34 a.m. deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to the home for the report of a shooting, reports indicated that one subject, was shot in the back. When deputies arrived they found people fleeing in all different directions from the location and McConnell suffering from a gunshot wound. McConnell was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide investigators responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. The suspect(s) are yet to be identified, although several likely witnessed the shooting, most fled the area before deputies arrived.
Several reported that they were two black males between the age of 16-years-old and 19-years-old, who were wearing dark-colored hooded jackets.

Investigators are seeking information from those who left the scene prior to deputies arrival. Those who may have any information pertinent to the investigation should contact Homicide Investigators, Victor Valley Station or WeTip, as their statements could be critical in identifying the suspects.
