HEMET – A man wanted for a violent crime was recognized by an off-duty Hemet officer, officials said. On the morning of August 1, 2016, the officer notified the dispatch center that he spotted the wanted man while shopping on the 1200 block of South Sanderson Avenue.
Albert Robles, age 30 was wanted for violent charges committed on June 27, 2016, which included domestic violence, terrorist threats and kidnapping. Police have been searching for Robles, who lives in Beaumont, for the over a month. Chief Dave Brown said, “This is part of the value and risk associated with being a community police officer…you’re never really off-duty.”
