One Dead and One Injured in Yucca Valley Shooting

YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. – Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and a second injured on Monday.

At around 1:30 a.m. dispatch received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a gas station located at 56377 Twenty-Nine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. Deputies responded and found Nicholas Shine, 20, of Yucca Valley, suffering from a gunshot wound. Shine was transported at Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs.

“Through investigation, deputies responded to the scene of the shooting, at the 56000 block of Twenty-nine Palms Highway, Yucca Valley,” said Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Department.  “Deputies located a deceased male, later identified as Tymmothy Mosley.”  Authorities said that Mosley was a 19-year-old transient. Detectives arrived to conduct the investigation. The motive is unknown at this time.
