HESPERIA – One person is deceased and two were airlifted to trauma centers after a pursuit ended in a traffic collision on Monday morning.

At around 10:00 a.m. a deputy attempted to stop a silver/light blue Honda Civic that was speeding west on Main Street near 11th Avenue.  The vehicle pulled into a Rite Aid parking lot, as if he was attempting to stop, but continued on through the parking lot and onto 11th Avenue. The vehicle continued northbound on 11th Avenue. “As the suspect vehicle was approaching Willow, he veered into southbound lanes and struck a black Volkswagon traveling southbound at 11th occupied by a male and female adult,” said San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Jodi Miller.  “The pursuit lasted less than a minute before the suspect vehicle collided into the black Volkswagon.”

The driver of both vehicles were not conscious when emergency medical personnel reached the vehicle, and the suspect, only identified as a 26-year-old Victorville man was later learned to be deceased. The driver of the second vehicle, a female identified asAna Ramirez de Franco, 49 was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center and her passenger, identified as Jose Barba Franco, 44 was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with multiple fractures to the arm and leg.  Hesperia Junior High School surveillance captured the traffic collision. For anyone who is still reading about the unfortunate event that occurred on April 10, 2017. Here is the gofundme for the victims family. I have a personal connection to the victims family and it pains me to see them going through such hard times. The victims, Ana Ramirez de Franco and Jose Barba Franco, children are having to not only deal with BOTH of their parents in intensive care, but also having to deal with the responsibility of all the medical bills, as well as household bills. My heart goes out to this family and the struggle that they are going through. Please take the time to read the victims family personal story and keep them in your prayers.
