OAK HILLS – The investigation into the shooting that took the life of a young Victorville man still has few leads and no arrests authorities said.
On Saturday, January 6, 2018, Kyle McConnell, 19, attended an advertised party in the 7700 block of Foley Road in Oak Hills. When deputies arrived they found numerous people fleeing from the party that reportedly had over 100 attendees. Through investigation, they learned that there was an altercation that led to the shooting.
McConnell was found to have a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Since then, homicide investigators have worked tirelessly to identify and locate the suspect(s). While investigating, they learned that a second victim, a 19-year-old Victorville man was badly beaten and robbed of his personal belongings. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle where he was treated for head and neck injuries. He has since been released from the hospital and is continuing to recover.
The investigation is ongoing and Homicide Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved in this murder/assault investigation.
