RIVERSIDE, Calif. – An 85-year-old male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a pickup truck authorities said.
On Monday, April 22, 2019, at around 7:11 a.m., Riverside Police and Fire Department responded to an traffic collision with injuries. The reporting party indicated that CPR was being performed on the pedestrian. Through investigation it was learned that a Toyota Tacoma was driving east on First Street making a left turn onto Market Street when the vehicle collided with the pedestrian, who was in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) were called to the scene and conducted an investigation.
