PALMDALE, Ca. – A student from Pete Knight High School in the City of Palmdale was arrested for criminal threats, authorities said.
On Thursday, November 21, 2019, at around 6:30 p.m. authorities received a call for service regarding a threat made indicating there would be a school shooting on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Pete Knight High School. Deputies responded to the 3700o block of 70th St. E in Palmdale to conduct the investigation. It was learned that there was an on-campus fight earlier that day. Several students were suspended for their involvement in the fight. One of the suspended students made threats via social media and posted photos of a person holding a firearm.
Deputies responded to several homes for the investigation. The homes were searched and interviews were conducted. One male juvenile admitted to posting the photos of the firearm and bullets, also writing the threatening quotes and posting other threats online. The juvenile was arrested and booked at the Sylmar Juvenile Hall.
