PHELAN – A 28-year-old Phelan man was arrested after shooting a firearm into the air officials said.
On Sunday, June 21, 2018, at around 1:28 a.m. Victor Valley Station deputies responded to the 12000 block of Oasis Road in Phelan for the report of shots heard. When they arrived they learned that Chad Thompson and his girlfriend had been drinking. They began arguing leading to Thompson’s girlfriend walking away from the home. As she left, Thompson went outside with a handgun and fired three rounds in the air.
Thompson was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Discharging a Firearm in a Negligent Manner. He was released on bail the same day at around 12:50 p.m.
