PHELAN, Calif – A Phelan man was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle as well as other offenses on Monday.
At around 12:46 a.m., a Victor Valley Station deputy conducted a traffic stop for multiple vehicle code violations, including a missing front license plate. The small pickup truck pulled over and the deputy conducted a record check on the vehicle. The vehicle was found to be stolen out of Phelan on March 3, 2019.
A firearm was located inside the vehicle behind the driver’s seat. The serial number on the firearm was grinded off. Matthew Scott Langdo was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center. He is being held in lieu of $175,000 bail.
