POMONA – A 15-year-old girl was rescued from human trafficking (prostitution) by the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Task Force on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, police responded to the area known as the Holt Corridor. With the use of plainclothes officers, they conducted surveillance in the area. During the surveillance, they saw and made contact with the teen human trafficking victim. The girl was interviewed and provided with the resources available to her. The human trafficker (pimp) has yet to be identified at this time. “The Pomona Police Department is taking a proactive approach to improving the quality of life by addressing and deterring human trafficking and prostitution activities along the Holt Ave corridor,” Pomona Police officials said.
