RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – A 54-year-old Rancho Cucamonga woman and a 53-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man were arrested for stealing vehicle parts from a vehicle.
On Sunday, June 23, 2019, at around 1:17 p.m., deputies responded to the report of vandalism to a vehicle in an industrial parking lot near Hellman Avenue and 7th Street. The female victim said that she was walking over to her vehicle when she noticed that a man and woman taking parts from her vehicle. She confronted the suspects, who took their tools and fled the area.
The victim wrote down the license plate of the vehicle. Later she learned that the suspects had removed the header to the engine and were in the process of removing the catalytic converter from her vehicle. The damage is estimated at around $1,000. The female suspect was identified as Denise Rochelle Boyd. Boyd was located at her home in the 9200 block of Milliken Avenue. She was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
On Monday, July 1, 2019, deputies learned the identity of the male suspect as Hobart Keith Martin. Martin was located at his home in the 9300 block of Hellman Avenue and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
