RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A 27-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man was arrested for stabbing his father to death on Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday, May 2, 2018, just before 5:00 a.m. dispatchers received a call where there was no one on the line, but in the background, they could hear a woman screaming.
Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 11100 block of Etiwanda Avenue. When they entered the apartment home they found Sean Stanley, 53, of Rancho Cucamonga, in medical distress and suffering from multiple serious stab wounds. Lifesaving efforts were made, but the victim died at the scene. His son, Andrew Stanley-Powel was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Murder. At this time the motive for the stabbing is not known and the investigation is ongoing.
