REDLANDS – Various organizations in the San Bernardino County have joined forces to provide backpacks and even bicycles to children in need. The Back 2 School Jam 2017 is a backpack giveaway that if free and open to the community. The giveaway is intended to support success in school for youth by providing the resources needed for children and their families.
All children receiving a backpack must be present, and the giveaway is first-come, first-serve while they last. The event takes place on Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 8am-12pm at Sylvan Park located at 601 North University Street in the City of Redlands.
Event sponsors include the Redlands Police Department, Micah House, Family Services Association of Redlands, Redlands Police Officers Association, Trinity Church of Redlands, Citizens Church, City of Redlands Quality of Life Department, Redlands Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, and the Automotive Club of Southern California.
