FONTANA, Ca. – A Rialto man was arrested for the shooting of a woman after she was taken to the hospital for treatment of a facial wound on Monday morning.
The hospital notified authorities that the woman had arrived for treatment with a single gunshot wound. Officers responded to the hospital for the investigation. Through investigation, they identified the suspect as 34-year-old, Mose Thomas. Thomas transported the female victim, with who he had an intimate relationship with to the hospital where she remains in critical condition.
Detectives assumed the investigation and determined that Thomas was at the complex visiting another woman when the victim showed up. The two women were involved in an altercation. As the female victim walked out to her vehicle, Thomas approached her and when she sat down in her vehicle he fired his weapon to shoot her.
The investigation is ongoing, anyone with information is asked to contact Detective A. Davis at (909) 854-8152 or via e-mail adavis@fontana.org. Detectives don’t believe any other suspects are outstanding and a handgun was recovered. Thomas was arrested for attempted murder and booked into jail.
Thomas was transported to the West Valley Detention Center and booked on attempted murder of the victim and (PC 664/187).
