RIVERSIDE – A 42-year-old Riverside man was arrested for a series of armed robberies, which began in September 2018.
The robberies occurred at various commercial locations in the City of Riverside beginning on September 14th. The suspect was responsible for robbing and attempting to rob seven businesses throughout the city. The suspect in all incidents walked into the businesses armed with a handgun. He then demanded the money from the cash registers and fled on foot. As part of the investigation into the robberies, evidence was collected and the suspect was subsequently identified as Jason Rubio.
Rubio was arrested on January 3, 2019, near Tyler Street and Magnolia Avenue. He was interviewed and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for armed robbery.
