Salt Lake City, Utah Woman Behind Bars Tricking Boyfriend Into Drinking Drano

SALT LAKE CITY, UT. – A Salt Lake City Utah woman was arrested for attempted murder after attempting to poison her boyfriend with Drano, police said.

The woman, in an attempt to send her boyfriend into “eternal sleep”, Elle Weissman, 43, tricked her 50-year-old boyfriend into drinking Drano. Authorities said that Weissman told the victim that the Drano was medicine in order to get him to drink it.

On Monday, April 29th the victim was taken to urgent care and was treated for poisoning. He is still hospitalized at this time in critical but stable condition.

Weissman admitted to giving the victim Drano in an attempt to kill him, police officials said. The victim believed her when she told him that she was giving him medicine for an unknown ailment. Following the interview with police, Weissman was booked into the Salt Lake City Jail and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
