HIGHLAND – A 24-year-old San Bernardino woman was arrested after a strong armed robbery Thursday night. At around 8:45 p.m. dispatchers were at the Staples office supply store located in the 27900 block of Greenspot Road in Highland.
When deputies arrived they learned that the female suspect, later identified as Sara Reyes, stole over $250 worth of office supplies. When approached by a store employee, she struck the employee with the bag of stolen merchandise.
Reyes fled the scene with the merchandise but was quickly located by deputies nearby. Reyes was still in possession of the merchandise and when searched deputies also located methamphetamine, heroin, and hypodermic needles. She was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for strong armed robbery and drug charges.
