BARSTOW, Calif. – A Barstow man and woman were arrested on Wednesday morning as a result of an ongoing investigation leading them to additional crimes.
On February 20, 2019, at around 10:40 a.m. detectives from the Barstow station went to the home in the 300 block of Muir Avenue in the City of Barstow. The investigation was based on the probation terms and conditions of Valentin Gonzalez, 44. When they checked the home, they also made contact with Gonzalez’ girlfriend, Monsha Page, 38. Following a record check, they learned that Page was prohibited from possessing a firearm and/or ammunition. Ammunition was located during the search leading to her arrest.
The detective talked to Gonzalez about felony vandalism that was reported on August 28, 2018. Following the conversation, Gonzalez was arrested. Following the arrests, the residence was searched in more depth where numerous illegal gambling machines were located inside the garage. Monsha Page was booked into jail for felon in possession of ammunition. Valentin Gonzalez was booked into jail for felony vandalism. The report was sent to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for possible charges for the possession of the gambling machines.
