VENICE – Two men are accused of defacing the Venice POW/MIA Mural, one was charged on July 15th and the other charged late last week.
On May 26th, Luis Daniel Medina, 20, and Angel Castro, 24, allegedly vandalized the Veterans Memorial Wall on the 100 block of Sunset Avenue.
Castro was charged in June of this year with a single felony count of vandalism over $400 damage-graffiti with an allegation that he was convicted of robbery in 2015. Medina, also known as “Pheb” is facing one felony count of vandalism over $400 damage-graffiti and one misdemeanor count of possession of tools to commit vandalism or graffiti.
If convicted, Medina faces up to three years in jail and Castro faces up to six years in prison.
