Seven Arrested for String of Armed Robberies in Victorville and Hesperia

VICTORVILLE, Calif. – Seven subjects were arrested for five armed robberies in several Victorville and one Hesperia location.

Officials said that the Victorville Police Department’s Gang Enforcement Team was investigating several armed robberies that occurred in the City of Victorville on Friday, February 22, 2019. One of the robberies had just occurred that morning at a local smoke shop. Apple Valley Police located a vehicle on Bear Valley Road that was believed to be the suspect vehicle involved in the smoke shop robbery and conducted a felony traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle attempted to flee but got stuck in the mud and the occupants were apprehended. The firearm used during the smoke shop robbery was located inside the vehicle.

Seven suspects believed to be involved in the five armed robberies were identified and located.  The five included:

VICTORVILLE

Mojave Gas located in the 15300 block of Village Dr.

AM/PM located in the 16800 block of D St.

Victor Valley Liquor located in the 15300 block of Tamarack Dr.

Chevron located in the 15300 block of Bear Valley Rd

AM/PM located in the 16000 block of Bear Valley Rd.

My Smoke Shop located in the 14400 block of 7th Street

HESPERIA

AM/PM located in the 16000 block of Bear Valley Rd.

Travon Skinner, 18, a Los Angeles transient, Elijah Martin, 20, of Adelanto, Aerin Shorty, 20, of Victorville, Delaneo Heckard, 25, of Sacramento, Curtis Specks, 22, of Adelanto, and a 17-year-old male were all arrested. All of the adult suspects were arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for armed robbery, assault, and receiving known stolen property. The 17-year old male was arrested and booked at High Desert Juvenile Detention Center for robbery, assault, and receiving known stolen property.
