SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies went to a home to check on the resident who a concerned person reported that he may not have eaten for a few weeks.
The male occupant who lived alone told deputies that he recently lost his job and only had the money to pay for rent and utilities. The deputies checked inside the refrigerator and there was no food inside. The man was pleasantly surprised when Deputy Brunmier came back with groceries for him. The man never asked for help, but graciously accepted the kind gift. Deputy Brunmier told the man that he would be returning the next day to check up on him.
