HESPERIA – Five male adult suspects and one juvenile male suspect was arrested for two commercial burglaries on Friday. At around 1:40 a.m. deputies from the Hesperia station responded to a commercial alarm at a restaurant located in the 15000 block of Bear Valley Road. When they arrived they found that the unknown suspects smashed a window to gain entry and burglarized the restaurant.
During the investigation into the burglary of the restaurant, a citizen reported a suspicious vehicle in the same area with subjects who were acting suspiciously. While a deputy responded to that call, another audible alarm was sounding at another business in the 15000 block of Main Street. While he approached the area, he witnessed several subjects running from the location, get into a vehicle, and attempt to leave the area. The deputy stopped the vehicle, which was occupied by six subjects who were detained without incident.
Evidence linking the suspects to both cases, including property stolen from the Bear Valley burglary incident was recovered. All six, Mykeyan Taylor, 18, James Berryman, 18, Terrill Jones, 19, Cameron Ferris, 19, Dante Brisco, 18, and a 16-year-old male were found to be involved in both cases.
The adult suspects were booked into the High Desert Detention Center for commercial burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. Taylor and Jones also were determined to have no-bail warrants for their arrest for unrelated incidents. The 16-year-old juvenile was booked into the High Desert Juvenile Hall for commercial burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.
