VICTORVILLE – Rain? During the summer? That’s right! According to the National Weather Service, the Victor Valley area will have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms from late Saturday morning to Monday night.
A 20 percent chance is not something to bet on but is something to prepare for due to the changes in driving conditions in wet weather. Prepare by adding several extra minutes to your commute, being there early is better than rushing, which can cause an increased risk of a traffic collision.
Don’t expect the possible wet conditions to put a damper on the scorching hot days ahead, though. Temperatures on Saturday should reach a high of 104 with an overnight low of around 76 degrees.
For Sunday, temperatures should reach 100 degrees with overnight lows of 74 degrees. Monday the Victor Valley should expect temperatures of 99 degrees with overnight lows around 74 degrees. Each day should be mostly sunny with partially cloudy nights.
Tuesday through Friday of next week should be in the mid-to-high 90’s with overnight lows in the high-60’s to low-70’s.
