LAKE ELSINORE – Officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department were notified of a possible threat made against Lakeside High School on Sunday evening. Through investigation they learned that multiple students were forwarding threats to harm the school and students through Snapchat.
On Monday officers identified the students making the threats and detained them. “The Kids with Guns Protocol was initiated and nothing was found to indicate a true threat would be carried out,” said Riverside County Sheriff’s officials.
This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Lake Elsinore Police Department at (951) 245-3300.
