UPDATE: I-15 southbound, south of Oak Hill Rd. roadway reopened at 9:15 a.m.
HESPERIA – One person died after a traffic collision with a semi tractor trailer on the southbound I-15 approximately ⅛ mile south of Oak Hill Road on Thursday. The traffic collision that was reported at around 5:56 a.m. reportedly led to the motorcycle bursting into flames. The collision blocked the #2 and #3 lanes, leading to a SigAlert closing the #1- #3 lanes.
The California Highway Patrol and emergency medical personnel rushed to the scene, while en route one of the San Bernardino County medic engines was canceled due to the first responding officer finding no fire activity. Traffic on the southbound 15 freeway is reported to be backed up to Bear Valley Road.
