APPLE VALLEY – A Southwest gas truck was stolen from an Apple Valley home early Wednesday morning. At around 4:50 a.m. the reporting party said that he heard his garage open and saw that the white Ford F350 was gone. The vehicle was described as having no lights on the top with shovels and other standing tools in the back.
Deputies set up a perimeter but the reporting party told dispatchers shortly after, that all Southwest Gas trucks were equipped with GPS. He gave the dispatchers an address on the 21800 block of Esaws Avenue where he said the truck was parked.
The deputies arrived at the address to find the vehicle and one man standing outside. The male subject was arrested for unlawfully taking the vehicle. No further information is available at this time, information will be updated as it becomes available.
