VICTORVILLE – A 2009 Toyota Corolla was reported stolen from a Victorville home at 7:04 a.m. Monday morning. At 7:48 a.m. dispatchers received a call from a city work crew reporting that a vehicle that was located in a ditch on the east side of Hesperia Road just North of Nisqualli Road. Victorville Station deputies arrived at the scene and determined it was the vehicle that was reported stolen.
Sergeant Gerald Davenport told a 24/7 Headline News reporter that the vehicle appeared to be traveling southbound on Hesperia Road. For unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway, hit a fire hydrant, and continued off the roadway rolling into a ditch. The vehicle was located unoccupied, and the suspect(s) remain(s) at large.
