ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 13-year-old boy at this morning.
At around 6:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Don Juan Avila Middle School. located at 26278 Wood Canyon Drive in Aliso Viejo. The death of the boy appears to be a suicide, school officials said. Deputies are conducting a full investigation.
“Due to the ongoing investigation, both the middle school and elementary school have been closed for the day,” school officials said in a written statement. “Students have been rerouted to an alternate location.”
