SAN BERNARDINO, Ca. – A San Bernardino man was arrested after breaking into an occupied home on Monday evening.
At around 7:00 p.m. the victim was watching television in his living room of their home in the 25000 block of Cottage Street in Loma Linda. The victim heard glass break and then he noticed David Aguirre, 37, inside their bedroom where he had entered through the exterior window.
He chased Aguirre through the house and into the garage. In the garage the victim armed himself with a screwdriver and continued to chase Aguirre through the house, where he exited the front door. The victim and a second person, who was outside were able to hold Aguirre down until deputies arrived.
Aguirre was found to be on parole out of San Bernardino. He was arrested and is being held without bail. Anyone with who witnessed or has information about this case is urged to contact the investigating deputy below.
