HIGHLAND – An unknown male suspect robbed the Valero Gas Station in the City of Highland early Tuesday morning.
At around 4:42 a.m. deputies from the Central Station responded to 27767 Baseline Street to a 911 call. Witnesses told authorities that the suspect was a white male in his 30’s who was wearing a dark beanie and brown hooded jacket and sweatpants. The man had an untidy appearance according to witness reports.
According to witness reports, the suspect walked up to the clerk with merchandise and threatened the clerk. He took both the merchandise and money from the register. He fled west toward the 210 freeway. Deputies conducted an area search to no avail.
