RIVERSIDE – A possible DUI traffic collision left two injured early Sunday morning. At around 7:35 p.m. the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to the area of Lincoln and Monroe Street for the report of a major damage traffic collision. When they arrived they found the two vehicles, one with the female driver trapped inside of her vehicle.
Firefighters worked to extricate the trapped woman by removing the passenger door, since the vehicle was struck on the driver’s side. Emergency medical personnel treated the woman believed to be in her 40’s at the scene and transported to the hospital in moderate condition.
The 23-year-old driver of the second vehicle was also injured and transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The male driver was suspected to be under the influence at the time of the collision. The Riverside Police Department investigation is ongoing.
