JEFFERSON CITY, TN. – A 33-year-old Jefferson City, Tennessee, driver intentionally struck several people, killing a pregnant woman and her 2-year-old son, police said.
On Monday, June 17, 2019, William David Phillips who was driving a Chevrolet Impala, for reasons that remain under investigation swerved to intentionally hit a 61-year-old pedestrian.
He then drove around one mile to Sustainable Aquatics and drove approximately 10 feet into the store, killing Sierra Wilson Cahoon, 30, and her son Nolan Cahoon, 2 who were walking outside of the store. In a written statement police said that they found Sierra Wilson Cahoon, who was pregnant and her son deceased at the scene. Authorities said that Phillips again swerved in order to hit Nolan and Sierra Cao
The female employee at the store suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. The 61-year-old pedestrian, identified as Tillman Gunter is also expected to survive. Police said that none of the victims were known to Phillips who was arrested for first-degree murder and attempted murder.
