DESERT HOT SPRINGS – Three were arrested as a result of a Thursday morning carjacking in the 66800 block of Ironwood Drive in Desert Hot Springs.
At around 5:00 a.m. officers responded to a call from a male victim who reported being robbed of his vehicle and several other items at gunpoint. He reported that several suspects were involved in the robbery. Officers made contact with the uninjured victim to collect additional information. C
Through investigation, officers were quickly able to determine that the suspects were inside a nearby home. Officers went to the home and several of the occupants attempted to flee on foot but were quickly detained. The investigation also led to search warrants and compliance searches at several other locations. As a result, several people were taken into custody and multiple firearms were recovered.
Christian Salas, 24, Stephanie Sierkes, 25, and an juvenile, 17, all of Desert Hot Springs were all arrested for Carjacking, Kidnapping, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery/Kidnapping. All were booked into the Riverside County Jail in Banning.
