VICTORVILLE – A 60-year-old Victorville man was arrested for DUI after being involved in two hit-and-run collisions and a third collision where he was forced to remain at the scene.
On Friday, August 17, 2018, deputies from the Victorville Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of a hit-and-run crash in the area of El Evado and Luna Road. As deputies headed to the scene, they received a second call reporting a second hit-and-run collision in the nearby area of El Evado. Finally, a third collision on Northstar, near Petaluma stopped the suspect vehicle ue to the severity of the damage.
Deputies learned that Pink Wright, the driver of a 2007 Kia Optima was the driver involved in all of the three collisions. It was learned that the first of the collision involved a 2016 Ford Flex when Wright struck the back of the vehicle then fled the scene. He then collided with a 2012 Nissan Altima that was driving south on El Evado. Wright again fled the scene and at 3:27 p.m. he rear ended a 2015 Kia Sedona at Northstar and Petaluma. The vehicle sustained major damage and Wright was located at the scene.
“None of the occupants of the vehicles hit by Wright requested medical attention,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Station Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “Wright was seen at a local hospital for an injury to his head.” Wright was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Driving Under the Influence. The District Attorney’s office will be reviewing the case for additional charges.
Wright was cited and released on Saturday, August 18, 2018, and at this time has no court appearances scheduled.
