ADELANTO, Ca. – Two Adelanto residents were arrested after the robbery of a Shell Station early Thursday morning.
Just after 2:00 a.m., a robbery occurred at the Shell Gas Station located at 11272 Palmdale Road in the City of Adelanto. The female clerk told deputies that an adult male, who was later identified as Jonathan Atkins, 25, came into the business and walked around the counter. He grabbed four bottles of tequila off of the shelt. The clerk said that she attempted to stop him, and he grabbed her and tossed her to the grounds. The suspect left and got into a vehicle that was occupied by a female, later identified as Ashley Lounderman, 37. The vehicle fled the location.
Deputies were able to locate the suspects and the stolen alcohol and a loaded firearm were found inside the vehicle. Lounderman was charged with accessory and concealing a loaded firearm and Atkins was charged with robbery and driving under the influence. In addition, he was found to have outstanding warrants. Lounderman and Atkins were booked at the High Desert Detention Center, Atkins being held on $175,000 bail and Lounderman being held on $25,000 bail.
