OAK HILLS – Two were airlifted to trauma centers following a collision on Ranchero Road near the I-15. At around 6:20 p.m. deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the report of a vehicle over the side. They arrived shortly after to find that the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck went off the roadway and landed in an embankment on the northwest corner of Ranchero Road.
At least one of the occupants was ejected as a result of the collision. Both the driver and the passenger suffered major injuries and were airlifted from the scene of the collision. The driver was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and the passenger to Loma Linda Medical Center.
The cause of the collision is unknown at this time. The San Bernardino County Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) will conduct an investigation to determine the cause.
