BARSTOW – A search warrant reference an ongoing check fraud investigation led deputies to all the evidence they needed and more Monday afternoon. Deputies from the Barstow Station arrived at the home on the 2900 block of E. Main Street in Barstow and made contact with Jolene Collard, 34 and Francisco Guzman, 37.
During the search of the home, deputies located stolen mail, books of personal checks, driver’s licenses, and ATM/Debit cards. Also located was a book that contained victim’s names, places of employment, credit card numbers and other personal information. Also located at the home was what appeared to be methamphetamine and glass pipes used to smoke methamphetamine.
Both were arrested and booked into the Barstow jail. Both face charges of check fraud, identity theft and possession of a controlled substance and are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
