RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A Fontana man and Upland woman were arrested for the burglary of the Deer Creek Vision Center in the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
Authorities said that a report made by a vigilant citizen at around 1:35 a.m. on Monday, led to the arrest of the suspects who were reported to be driving in the area. The report of suspicious activity advised that a white man and woman wearing ski masks were circling the area in a black Jeep.
Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga station responded to the area and located the parked vehicle. They made contact with Madison Claire Timoteo, 24, who was inside the vehicle. Deputies also located Mark Philip Mettias, 27, who was hiding behind a pillar nearby. Both Timoteo and Mettias were detained for further investigation. Through investigation, deputies found that the front door at the Deer Creek Vision Center was smashed out. Inside the suspect vehicle black masks, a pellet gun, burglary tools and stolen items were located inside the suspect vehicle.
Both were identified as the suspects associated with the crime and were arrested. Both were booked into the West Valley Detention Center. Mettias is being held in lieu of $55,000 bail.
