Two Mexican nationals who were previously convicted of sex crimes against children were arrested U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said.
Last Friday, 26-year-old Jesus Nieblas-Romero was arrested by Willcox Station agents near San Simon, Arizona. During a record check, agents learned that he was convicted twice for illegal re-entry into the United States, and also convicted of sexual contact with a child in 2010.
Days later on Monday, Brian A Terry Station agents arrested 28-year-old Nestor Franco Guevara in Bisbee, Arizona. He was also previously deported from the U.S. and was convicted of child rape in 2009.
Both face prosecution for criminal illegal re-entry into the United States.
