VICTORVILLE, Calif. – Two Victor Valley area men, one from Victorville and the other from Hesperia were arrested for attempting to meet a minor for sex. Sheriff officials are tight-lipped about the details of the arrests but have confirmed the arrests.
Authorities said that on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at about 11:44 a.m., Anthony Victor Lara, 25, of Hesperia, was arrested in the area of Sunset Ridge Park on Topaz Road and Eucalyptus Street in the City of Victorville. Lara was arrested for arranging to meet with a child for lewd purposes. He is being held at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 bail.
The same day, at 2:45 p.m. Jeffrey Steven George, 27, of Victorville, was arrested in the area of El Evado and Mojave Drive while attempting to meet a minor for sex. He is also facing charges for sending harmful matter with intent to seduce a minor. George was released on bail on April 5, 2019, at around 4:00 a.m.
